Afton's Nursery Update

So a few weeks ago I posted this post about how we painted Afton's nursery, and I was pretty nervous about it. I promised you all an update when we got it finished. Well, it's not quite finished, but close enough to post some pics. I have to say, it's looking pretty cute! We borrowed the crib from my sister Jen, (her husband Rusty BUILT it! Thanks guys!) and the changing table from Cindy. I think with the furniture in there it doesn't look quite so obnoxious, and the chair rail DID make a difference. Trevor still needs to finish painting the green leaves all over it.

Ok, and then I just had to add this picture. We have two cats, as you know, and they look eerily alike sometimes. Like little twins. Cindy said that Titus, the gray one, looks just like Tarzan only he "went through the wash" too many times and is a little faded! Today we noted them at the bottom of the stairs, staring up at us. We thought it was hilarious. You think they are just cats. But this is my blog so I'm putting the picture up anyway!

That nursery is looking so cute! The changing table and crib go so well together- you'd never know they came from different sisters.

Man, you are saving a fortune not having to buy everything. Trust me (from the woman who had to buy it all in duplicate). I'll start looking around for the breast pump. I think Aundi might have it but maybe it's down in my newly-cleaned basement (Bee's been busy).

Oh- and it looks like Tarzan and Titus are getting chummier every week. You did good by getting your boy a buddy. Afton's going to rock their little world. I can't wait! Only 66 days? Wow, it's coming fast (yeah, I know- not for you).

Meg - That crib rocks! (If I do say so myself) The room looks great. You and Trevor are going to be such good parents. I don't envy Trevor having to paint all the leaves on that chair rail though. I hope you put that crib through many more years of service. I'd rather have it being used than just stored. Keep Afton safe.

Cindy--I already got the breat pump from Aundi ages ago. So no need to go digging around the basement! Thanks for your comments! And Titus is quite a fan of that crib--we keep finding him sleeping in it! Ugg! We make him get out but he just gets back in...

I think that it looks cute. Now you just need a baby to put in it!!!! So exciting. We need to plan your shower. Tell me about when you would like to do it. We can have it at my house if you would like!

NO CATS IN THE CRIB!!! It's my crib and it's just as allergic to cats as I am!

The baby room is looking cute. I had someone tell me they don't understand why we go to such lengths to decorate a room for a baby that doesn't even appreciate it. My response is that I am the one who spends hours on end in there the first few months so I want it to be cute and happy. I will never forget how good it felt to sit in Paige's room and rock her after nearly a week in the hospital! I'm all about making the baby room how YOU want it.
